Preface:
INMOTION is committed to quality products and dependable after-sales support for every rider.
Scope
This policy applies to INMOTION products purchased directly from the INMOTION EU official website. If you purchased from an authorized dealer or distributor, please contact that seller first, because the statutory legal guarantee is generally provided by the seller that concluded the sales contract with you.
For products bought second-hand from a private individual, statutory consumer rights may differ. Products bought second-hand from a professional trader may still benefit from mandatory consumer protections under applicable law.
Your Statutory Legal Guarantee
Consumers purchasing goods in the EU are entitled to a minimum 2-year legal guarantee of conformity from delivery, subject to applicable national law. Some countries may provide longer or additional protection.
If a product is not in conformity with the sales contract, the consumer may be entitled to have it brought into conformity free of charge, normally by repair or replacement. Where repair or replacement is impossible, disproportionate, not completed within a reasonable time, or causes significant inconvenience, the consumer may be entitled to an appropriate price reduction or termination/refund as provided by applicable law.
Any repair, replacement, collection, return transport or re-delivery that is legally required to restore conformity will be provided without cost to the consumer where the claim is confirmed as covered by the statutory legal guarantee.
INMOTION Commercial Warranty
In addition to, and without replacing or reducing, your statutory rights, INMOTION provides the following voluntary commercial warranty for manufacturing defects under normal use. This commercial warranty applies to eligible products purchased directly from the INMOTION EU official website and begins on the delivery date.
| Component | Commercial Warranty | Typical Covered Manufacturing Defects |
|---|---|---|
| Frame & structural parts | 12 months | Cracks or structural breakage arising from a confirmed manufacturing defect under normal use |
| Motor / Controller | 12 months | Operational failure, internal electrical failure or other confirmed factory defect |
| Battery | 6 months; V14 and P6: 12 months | Confirmed manufacturing defects affecting charging, output or battery integrity |
| Display / Dashboard / Throttle / Brake handle | 6 months | Confirmed electrical or functional manufacturing defects |
| Shock absorber / Suspension | 6 months | Internal or assembly defects without external impact damage |
| Charger / Power supply | 6 months | Failure to charge caused by a confirmed manufacturing defect |
| Headlight / Taillight / Turn signals | 3 months | Confirmed module failure without external damage |
The commercial warranty periods above do not reduce the consumer's statutory legal guarantee. A component that is outside the commercial warranty period may still be covered where the consumer has a valid statutory conformity claim under applicable law.
Consumable and Wear Parts
Normal wear and routine replacement of consumable parts are not covered by the INMOTION commercial warranty. Examples include tires, inner tubes, brake discs and pads, fenders, grips, buttons, pedals, pedal axles, shells, plastic covers and other parts subject to ordinary wear.
This exclusion does not affect statutory rights where a consumable or wear part was already non-conforming at delivery or failed because of a manufacturing defect covered by applicable law.
Commercial Warranty Exclusions
The voluntary INMOTION commercial warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by circumstances unrelated to a manufacturing defect, including:
- crashes, falls, collisions, impact or external damage;
- water or liquid ingress, corrosion or oxidation not caused by a covered manufacturing defect;
- overloading or use outside stated product limits;
- use of incompatible or non-approved chargers, batteries, parts or accessories;
- unauthorized hardware, electrical, software or firmware modification;
- unauthorized disassembly or repair that causes or contributes to the failure;
- improper charging, unsafe storage, prolonged deep discharge or battery neglect;
- lack of required maintenance or use contrary to the user manual and safety instructions;
- extreme environmental exposure outside the product's stated operating/storage conditions;
- normal wear, cosmetic deterioration or expected battery capacity degradation through age and use;
- rental, competition, abusive or other intensive commercial use where not expressly approved.
These commercial-warranty exclusions do not automatically remove mandatory statutory rights. For a statutory claim, eligibility is assessed under applicable consumer law and based on the cause and circumstances of the reported non-conformity.
Spare Parts Purchased Separately
INMOTION provides a 30-day voluntary commercial warranty against manufacturing defects for spare parts purchased directly from the INMOTION EU website. Electronic parts damaged by incorrect installation, short-circuiting during installation, or failure to follow required installation procedures are not covered by this commercial warranty.
This 30-day commercial warranty does not replace or reduce any mandatory statutory rights that apply to the sale of the spare part.
How to Make a Claim
Please contact INMOTION Customer Service and provide information reasonably necessary to assess the claim, which may include:
- order number and proof of purchase;
- product model and serial number;
- photos or videos showing the reported issue;
- INMOTION App screenshots, diagnostic results, error codes or uploaded logs;
- odometer/mileage information;
- charging, storage, maintenance, repair and usage history where relevant.
We normally respond within 1–3 business days with troubleshooting steps, follow-up questions or return instructions. Requests for reasonable diagnostic information help us determine the appropriate remedy and do not by themselves reduce your statutory rights.
Return Authorization, Inspection and Costs
Do not return a vehicle or lithium-battery product without INMOTION return authorization and shipping instructions. Lithium-battery products may require specific packaging and transport arrangements.
For a confirmed statutory conformity claim, INMOTION/the responsible seller will bear the necessary costs of bringing the product into conformity as required by applicable law.
If inspection establishes that there is no covered non-conformity and the issue resulted from accidental damage, misuse, unauthorized modification, improper storage/charging or another non-covered cause, reasonable diagnostic, repair and transport costs may be charged where permitted by law. We will inform you before carrying out chargeable repair work.
Repair and Replacement
Depending on the diagnosis and applicable rights, the remedy may include remote technical support, replacement parts, workshop repair, product replacement, price reduction or refund. Where legally permitted and appropriate, repair may be completed by replacing the defective component rather than the entire vehicle.
If INMOTION proposes a customer-installable replacement part, we will provide reasonable installation guidance. Where professional installation is necessary, arrangements and cost responsibility will depend on whether the claim falls under the statutory legal guarantee, the commercial warranty, or a non-warranty repair.
Shipping Damage and DOA
Please report visible shipping damage, missing items or a serious functional issue as soon as reasonably possible, preferably within 7 days of delivery, and provide photos/videos where available. Early reporting helps us investigate the carrier and resolve the issue faster.
Our 7-day DOA support is an expedited service process and does not limit statutory rights that may apply after that period.
Policy Updates and Mandatory Rights
INMOTION may update this commercial warranty policy from time to time. Any update will not retroactively reduce mandatory consumer rights or contractual rights applicable to an order already concluded.
If any provision of this policy conflicts with mandatory consumer law applicable to you, the mandatory law prevails.
